Jason Overton is a singer/ songwriter based in San Francisco and plays a mix of original tunes with a variety of beats and feels. In any given night, a performance could include everything from a country waltz to a blues shuffle to alternative rock.
His band includes a talented group of musicians with extensive playing and touring experience including Ryan Craig Adams on Upright Bass, Jay Vyas on Electric Guitar, Rob Vaterlaus on Keyboard and James Morrow on Drums & Percussion.
Born in Morristown, Tennessee, Jason grew up in Texas mostly in and around Dallas. His mother was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and his father was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, which fueled his passion for music from an early age.In January of 2006, Jason released his debut CD and received positive reviews from Europe and the US. He has also received radio airplay from a wide range of outlets including KALW 91.7 Public Radio in San Francisco and Radio ISW - Acoustic Affairs Program in Belgium.
He is currently working on a new album of original songs to be released later this year. You can see him perform at clubs in the Bay Area with his full band or as a solo acoustic act.
